Week 10 Questions

I was successful in achieving the muscle mass that I wanted to gain because I gained a few pounds of muscle mass. This program had many benefits but one of them was that it taught me different workouts that I could do. I wanted to get my cardio up but I was unsuccessful because I never worked out my cardio. I don’t like training cardio and that is the reason was I didn’t meet that goal. My diet got slightly healthier but it didn’t change that much throughout the program. I started to eat a little more vegetables but it didn’t change that much because my parents are pretty good at making me eat was is healthy for me. The most important thing that I learned about myself is that just because I am skinny, does not mean that I am healthy or fit.

Week 10

3 set of 15 sit-ups

4 set of 10 push ups

2 set of 2 minutes of plank

13 set of 10 reps of triceps extensions with 15 lbs

5 minutes of squat throws with a 10 lbs medicine ball

Week 9 Questions

My own personal health will motivate me to stay active because I am only 19 years old and I already have problems with my knees. If I don’t continue to workout, my knees will continue to get worse with time. I see myself living an active lifestyle because my friends push me to go the gym with them and them will continue to push me to go to the gym with them. Living an active lifestyle lowers the risk of heart problems, of high cholesterol, and of diabetes. People who live a sedentary lifestyle might have problems with their cardiovascular system, they might have problems with obesity, and they might experience depression. Two examples of healthy fats would be whole eggs and nuts.

Week 8 Questions

The point of doing a warm-up is that is helps to get the blood flowing. A good warm-up has to get your heart rate up gradually and your breathing has to be on pace. A cool down helps your temperature gradually decrease and it helps your breathing return to normal. It also allows your heart rate to decrease slowly. The best time to stretch would be at the end of your workout because your muscles are warm. Stretching is important because it helps keep your muscles flexible and healthy. I should be getting between 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. I get enough sleep because I got to bed at the right hour to make sure that I will have enough sleep. Lack of sleep increases the risk of high blood pressure, heart risk, and obesity. An example of a healthy snack would be some fresh fruit. Another healthy example would be some unsalted nuts like almonds or peanuts.
